PixelKit is a mobile application with easy, fast image-editing tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

PixelKit is designed to work without requiring any personal information from you. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

The only user input we process are the images you select for editing and any text you type into tools such as Watermark, Text on Image, or WiFi QR Code. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

• Device model and operating system version
• Device Advertising ID (for ad personalization)

3. Data We Do Not Collect

PixelKit explicitly does not collect or process the following:

• Your photos or images: All image processing is done locally on your device. We never access, upload, or store your images.
• App interactions / Analytics: We do not track which tools you use, how often you use them, or your in-app behavior.
• Crash logs / Diagnostics: We do not collect crash reports or performance diagnostics.
• Personal identifiers: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address.
• Location data: We do not track your GPS location. AdMob may use approximate location at the country/region level.
• Contacts or messages: We do not access your contact list, SMS, or call history.
• Browsing history: We do not track your web browsing activity.
• WiFi credentials: WiFi QR Code tool uses your input locally to generate a QR image. We do not store or transmit network names or passwords.
• EXIF metadata from images: The Image Metadata tool displays EXIF data locally on your device. This data is not uploaded or stored by us.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

PixelKit uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect the following data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads:

• Banner Ads: Small ads shown at the bottom of the Home, Files, Favorites, and Settings screens.
• Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads shown occasionally after completing a tool action.
• No Rewarded Ads: PixelKit does not use rewarded video ads requiring you to watch ads to unlock features.

4.4 Google Play In-App Review

PixelKit uses Google's In-App Review API to politely ask satisfied users to rate the App on the Play Store after several successful tool uses. This is entirely optional and respects your choice if declined.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (all processing is local)
• Save your preferences (theme, favorites, JPEG quality) locally on your device
• Remember your recent tools and favorites for quick access
• Display relevant advertisements to support the App's ongoing development
• Request optional Play Store ratings via Google's In-App Review API

6. Data Storage and Security

6.1 Local Processing

All image editing, compression, conversion, and other processing occurs entirely on your device. Your images never leave your phone. We do not operate any backend servers for image processing.

6.2 Temporary Files

PixelKit creates temporary output files during processing (e.g., converted images, compressed images, PDFs, collages, circle crops, comparison exports). These are stored in your device's temporary directory and can be previewed, saved, shared, or deleted using the in-app File Manager. The operating system may also clear temporary files automatically over time.

6.3 Ad Data

Advertising-related data (Advertising ID, approximate location, device info) is transmitted securely via HTTPS to Google's AdMob servers. We do not retain or store this data ourselves.

6.4 Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Permissions We Request

PixelKit requests the following Android permissions:

• Internet: Required for loading advertisements.
• Camera: Required to capture photos directly within the app (e.g., Background Remover, Circle Crop, Collage Maker). We do not collect or upload camera data.
• Write External Storage (Android ≤ 10 only): Required to save processed images to your device gallery on older Android versions. Modern Android uses scoped storage and does not require this permission.

8. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

8.1 General Rights

• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: Disable personalized advertising in your device settings or Google Ad Settings.
• Delete Temporary Files: Use the in-app File Manager to delete any files created by PixelKit.
• Clear Local Data: Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data from your device.

8.2 GDPR Rights (for EU/EEA Users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• The right to access — You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
• The right to rectification — You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to restrict processing — You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing — You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability — You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
• The right to withdraw consent — Where we rely on your consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

8.3 Opting Out of Ads Personalization

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

• Through your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization)

8.4 Managing or Revoking Your Consent

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. U.S. State Age Verification Laws (Texas SB 2420)

In compliance with Texas' App Store Accountability Act (Texas SB 2420) and similar laws in other U.S. states, Google Play may provide our App with age signals indicating a user's age range or parental consent status for users in applicable states.

Since PixelKit is a general utility app with no age-restricted content, we do not restrict access based on age signals beyond what is required by law. We do not sell or share age signal data with any third parties.

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to use the App, please note that we transfer data to Google LLC in the United States for advertising services (Google AdMob). By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy at this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

By using PixelKit, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. This App complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and all applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection.
